Me? Fanart?
A week or so ago, pretty much right after school ended, I went through all five English translation Yotsuba&! in a couple of days. They were pretty much exactly what I needed. I was worn out from stressing over finals and stressing anew about finding a summer job. The great thing about Yotsuba&! is that it gives you perspective. It's funny and lighthearted, good for relaxing, but on a more profound level it really does remind you to "Enjoy Everything" in your own life, too. In the third book, we both find out that Jumbo is a florist at his father's shop and get to see Yotsuba as a "flower cupid," giving out flowers to random people she meets. I thought the picture of Yotsuba with a huge bundle of flowers strapped to her back was adorable, and that she could hand out a lot more flowers if she got Jumbo to carry a bundle like that around for her (which probably wouldn't be too hard). Hence came this. Yotsuba&! copyright to Azuma Kiyohiko. I used Volume 3 as a reference for the "flower cupid" outfit. |

I'm just going to give you some good, general advice. And the first bit is - play to your stengths.
Don't think about what the future will actually be, think about how cool it could be, and make it happen.
Errrm ok, I guess I never really thought of them as a potential couple... In fact I never really think about couples with Yotsuba. Even with Jumbo crushing on Asagi (the oldest neighbor girl) all the time, I never really think that anything will happen there. *shrug* I mostly just enjoy the lols.

I think you're right about defining, and I might color it sometime, but I've been feeling like my lineart has surpassed my coloring skill and until I get more comfortable with the basics of shading and highlighting I probably won't be submitting much in color.
